Behind HCB's First Release: Crown of Thorns

Hey guys!

HCB's first release is finally here! I'd like to share with you the meaning behind this shirt.

Hebrews 9:28 says, "So Christ having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him."

What can we pull from this verse? (A) Jesus initially came to save us from our sins. (B) He is coming back a second time. (C) He is not coming a second time to do anything regarding sin, but to take those who are ready & waiting for Him.

What does being ready & waiting eagerly look like? Many verses that can be found in Psalms answers this for us. Psalms 27:13-14 tells us not only in waiting to be brave, courageous & patient, but to be confident that you will see Him. Psalms 37:34 says we should keep his way & put our hope in Him. Psalms 62:5-7 says we should commit ourselves to Him as a man commits to his wife.It also says we should pray without rest until the Lord's work is finished. Finally, Isaiah 40:31 says that those who trust in the Lord will receive a renewed strength, they will run & not grow tired & they will walk & not faint.

In these verses we can find that waiting for Jesus to come back ultimately benefits us in the process!

A verse I love & would like to leave you with is this: John 14:2-3 says,"My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

This always leads me back to the thought process of why would Jesus lie about preparing a place for me? What would he have to gain by dying on the cross if it were not true? Nothing.

I hope this has been encouraging for you! Keep up the Kingdom Grind!!!
